This Saturday is our Annual All Members Meeting. It’s at this meeting that the current Board provides the community with a recap of the year to date, highlighting wins and opportunities for growth or improvement moving forward. This meeting is also the perfect time for members of the community to make their voices heard both literally by speaking up on things that are important to them as well as with their votes by electing or re-electing the members to the Board.
This past weekend was our annual summer picnic. We had between 45-50 people attend, shared a delicious potluck meal together, had lots of great conversation, raised $150 for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, and put on our very first pie contest. In this post I thought I’d share some highlights and thank those that made it all possible.
We are excited to launch the brand new website for the Humanist Community of Central Ohio. The last time we had a major update to the website was 2011, so a facelift was long overdue. However, it’s the technology underneath the surface that we hope will help us better achieve our mission of providing a supportive local community for humanists and other nontheists in the Central Ohio area.
