by | Oct 21, 2016 | Community News | 0 comments

It is that time again when we closer to a change in season. Come join us for the Humanist Community of Central Ohio’s annual Winter Solstice Celebration event!

This is the biggest event we host all year, and is one of the best opportunities you will have to meet and socialize with your local Humanist Community.

We have a very exciting speaker planned for you! Lyz Liddell formerly of the Reason Rally and the Secular Student Alliance will be presenting for us.

Tickets for this event are on sale on our event page. If you are a member in good standing, your ticket prices will be reduced, so make sure to become a member or renew your membership before you register for this event! Non-member tickets are $30, member tickets are $20, and low-income member tickets are $10.

RSVPs for this event will close at 11:59PM on Wednesday, December 7th.

Don’t wait! Register now and save your spot at HCCO’s Winter Solstice Celebration! Great food, great community, a great speaker, and a great way to celebrate another year of Humanism!

This Saturday is our Annual All Members Meeting. It’s at this meeting that the current Board provides the community with a recap of the year to date, highlighting wins and opportunities for growth or improvement moving forward. This meeting is also the perfect time for members of the community to make their voices heard both literally by speaking up on things that are important to them as well as with their votes by electing or re-electing the members to the Board.
